Description
Compagel is used for the treatment of localised inflammatory lesions on horses. It is supplied in a tube as a gel and can be gently massaged into the affected area.
Apply several times a day, as long as the total amount of gel applied does not exceed 50g in any one day.
Indications
- tenosynovitis
- bursitis
- localised swelling
- haematoma
Compagel helps to reduce the inflammation and swelling without the use of systemic medication, though this can be used as well if required. It also helps to reduce any feelings of itchiness at the site and has a mild cooling and pain-relieving effect. In this way the horse is less likely to cause any further damage to the area by rubbing etc
Compagel requires a 48 hour withdrawal period before competition
Do not apply to broken skin
Do not apply to open wounds
