Medrone V tablets contain methyl prednisolone, a steroid used to treat allergic, inflammatory or auto-immune disorders in dogs and cats. They are used to treat skin, eye, ear or musculo-skeletal problems. If once daily dosing is used, it is often recommended to dose dogs in the mornings and cats in the evenings. This is to match with natural peak blood levels of hormones produced inside the body. Medrone V tablets are less likely to show side effects than some of the more potent steroids due to their shorter duration of action, especially if alternate day therapy is possible.
