Aloquantel horse wormer is a combination wormer containing two different active ingredients, ivermectin and praziquantel. It is indicated for the treatment of mixed cestode and nematode or arthropod infestations, due to adult and immature roundworms, lungworms, bots and tapeworms in horses. Suitable for all horses from 2 weeks of age.

Dose rate: one syringe treats a 700kg horse.

Returns It should be noted that, unfortunately, we cannot accept returns of any labelled products, including prescription medicines and flea and worming products. If the customer has requested a cancellation but the order has already been dispatched then we will not be able to cancel and refund the order. This also applies if the customer has ordered the incorrect dosage. Returns of any labelled products are only acceptable if it is due to an error in processing, or for an official recall. We are also unable to accept the returns of Caninsulin syringes, even if the packaging is unopened.

Description

Aloquantel horse wormer is effective against

  • tapeworm;
  • small strongyles (although not larvae encysted in the gut wall);
  • large stronglyes;
  • ascarids (roundworm);
  • lungworm;
  • stomach bots,
  • pinworms;
  • intestinal threadworms;
  • adult hairworms;
  • large-mouth stomach worms &
  • neck threadworms.
  • Contains ivermectin and praziquantel.

Resistance can occur with over use of wormers, especially repeated use of the same class of anthelmintic. Faecal egg counts are an important part of an effective worming programme.

Warnings & Contraindications- Ivermectin can be poisonous to dogs & cats, so do not let them have access to syringes or consume droppings of horses within 24hours of treatment.

Pregnancy & Lactation- Aloquantel is safe to use during pregnancy & lactation. Do not give to foals less than 2 weeks old.
