Returns It should be noted that, unfortunately, we cannot accept returns of any labelled products, including prescription medicines and flea and worming products. If the customer has requested a cancellation but the order has already been dispatched then we will not be able to cancel and refund the order. Equipred Tablets for horses are used for the alleviation of inflammation and clinical signs associated with equine asthma.

Licensed for the treatment of severe equine asthma (formerly known as COPD), a larger concentration tablet to facilitate the convenient dosing of horses.

Equipred tablets are available in boxes of 100 tablets. Each tablet can be easily divided into halves and quarters, enabling accurate dosing and precise tapering of the administered dose.

Dosage and administration:

  • For oral use.
  • The product should be mixed in small amount of feed.
  • To ensure administration of the correct dose, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible to avoid under- or overdosing.
  • Tablets may be divided along score lines to facilitate accurate dosing.
  • A single dose of 1 mg prednisolone/kg body weight per day corresponding to 2 tablets per 100 kg body weight.
  • Treatment may be repeated at 24 hour intervals during 10 consecutive days.
