Semintra is to be used for the reduction of proteinuria (i.e. the unwanted loss of proteins via the urine) associated with chronic kidney disease (CKD) in cats. Semintra is an oral solution and is well accepted by most cats.

It is very common for the kidneys in cats to deteriorate with age. (Our pet cats probably live much longer than cats in the wild would have done.) Hence a very large proportion of older cats (more than one third) do have less than perfect kidneys and could benefit from taking Semintra. Available in liquid form. Even fussy cats tolerate it!

Semintra has been shown to reduce the leakage of proteins in the urine. This helps maintain body weight and muscle mass in affected cats.

Do not use during pregnancy or lactation.

The safety of Semintra has not been established in breeding, pregnant or lactating cats.

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
