Smectizorb is an intestinal protectant based on di-tri-octahedral (DTO) smectite. It acts like a sponge, providing a large surface area with a high absorption capacity for toxins, bacteria, and free radicals, all of which can contribute to digestive disturbances.

  • Ingredients: Contains illite and kaolin as binding agents to further support digestion in horses and foals.

  • Versatile Supplement: Can be added to the feed ration or mixed with water to create a paste or liquid.

  • Applications: Particularly useful during digestive disturbances with diarrhea (in both foals and horses), following the ingestion of certain toxins, and for postoperative support of the gastrointestinal tract.

Instructions for Use of Smectizorb

  • Adult Horses: 1–2 cups per day or as directed by your veterinarian.

  • Foals: 1/4 cup mixed with water, 2–3 times daily or as directed by your veterinarian.

Note: 1 cup = approximately 120 grams.

Smectizorb is suitable for administration via a gastric tube by your veterinarian. Your veterinarian may recommend alternative feeding amounts based on clinical needs.

Compliance:

  • FEI compliant / ADMR compliant

Storage Instructions:

  • Exclusively for feeding horses.

  • Keep out of reach of children.
