Metacam for dogs 1.5mg/ml Oral Suspension is used to relieve inflammation and pain in dogs. It can be used for chronic (long-term) musculoskeletal disorders, and acute (sudden and short-lived) musculoskeletal disorders, for instance, due to injury.

Metacam for dogs is also used for the reduction of post-operative pain and inflammation after soft tissue surgery.

Metacam is supplied as a pleasantly flavoured liquid to be given by mouth or with food. If the dose is given directly into the mouth, this is best done after a meal. Metacam side effects are reduced through its ability to target the sites of inflammation while having much less effect than many other medications on the gut lining and kidneys.

****Do not use Metacam in puppies younger than 6 weeks old. Do not use in pregnant or lactating bitches, or dogs with gastrointestinal, liver, kidney or cardiac disorders. If any adverse reactions occur, stop treatment and contact your vet for advice. Check the product data for full contra-indications and warnings.****
